Answers to the Top 5 Common Questions I Get Asked…

What do I do about Chest and Back Acne?

Lots of different things can be at the root of acne. Lymph massage is really helpful, regular movement to move toxins out of the body. A common culprit can be the water, if you think where the water from a shower heard normally hits - top of back and chest. Try Changing your shower head to a Vitamin C filter, you don’t have to spend a fortune you can get them for around £20-£30 not only will it help support your skin but its great for silky soft hair too. Pop some Chamomile & Helichrysum face oil on too, don’t forget that everything from the breasts upwards should be part of your daily facial routine, if were thinking long term and keeping the skin on the chest and neck healthy, balanced and hydrated.

HRT Skin dryness, I’m doing everything topically I can but how can I support the body internally too?

Whether you are taking HRT or not, the skin naturally becomes drier as we age and hyaluronic acid & collagen production and the turnover of skin cells slow down. This suggestion is actually a really great thing to introduce into your diet anyway regardless of age, gender or lifestyle as modern farming practices and the processing of food makes it difficult for even the most balanced of diets to get adequate amounts. Take cold pressed oils, it does feel a bit Mary Poppins, oil on a spoon its a bit weird but there are some great products on the market, capsules or straight up oil, normally flavoured with lemon oil. The skin needs more good quality Omega 6 for optimum health. Our Functional Medicine practitioner recommends Yes oils

“YES™ Ultimate EFAs™ are Properly Formulated Oils (PFOs) containing organic Sunflower Oil, organic Evening Primrose Oil, and organic Pumpkin Seed Oil all excellent sources of "parent" omega-6, along with organic Flax oil for "parent" omega-3, to obtain what we consider the ideal science-based “parent” omega 6/3 combination. Unlike most commercial oil supplements, YES™ Ultimate EFAs™ are produced in small, carefully monitored quantities. The oils have no pesticides and have organic certification. After low temperature pressing, we use special capsules with low oxygen permeability to protect the precious oils so no refrigeration is required.”

You can think about not only the skin benefits of the essential oils but also the effect you want to achieve for your mind experiment, have fun.

Is it ok to use my Kyushi Cleansing oil in the shower?

The reason I recommend using it at a sink with a damp facecloth is that often the temperature we shower in is much higher than we would use to wash our faces. The higher the temperature the more drying on the skin. So providing you drop your shower temperature and still use a facecloth to properly remove it then go for it.
