Wanting a little extra self nurturing at the moment? Needing to look after your skin? Well look no further!

I have collated some top ingredients to help with your skin so that you can get glowing inside out.

So here’s what you need to look out for which will help with your specific skin type:

Combination/oily and acne prone skin:

Tea tree is such an obvious one but an all time favourite. So great for popping on spots because of it’s antibacterial properties.

Manuaka honey is also amazing – I’ve used this many times and felt my skin was a lot less sore and the redness from spots had reduced once using it.

Rosehip oil is amazing at reducing scarring as is tamanu oil.

Charcoal has also been amazing for clearing out skin too and drawing impurities out.

Dry Skin: Moisture is the name of the game here. We are looking to add lots of moisture enhancing ingredients to help get the plumpness back into your skin. Hyaluronic acid is excellent at this and gives your skin a more hydrated appearance.

Honey is amazing at drawing moisture to the skin because it’s a humectant.

Oils such as avocado, macademia or olive oil are great for dry skin as they can penetrate deep into the skin to nourish it.

Plant butters like shea and mango are also amazing as they help to form a barrier to protect against moisture loss.

Sensitive Skin:

My number one favourite ingredient for sensitive skin is aloe vera – it reduces redness, is utterly amazing when your skin is suburnt and soothes your skin like no other.

Oatmeal is another amazing ingredient as it soothes the skin and reduces itchiness.

Calendula is also an incredible ingredient for sensitive skin as it helps soothe as well.

If you want to make something at home with simple ingredients which really help your skin to calm down, then just follow this simple recipe:

Oat & Honey DIY Face Mask

1 tablespoon oats (the finely ground ones are good for this)

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon warm water

A few drops of your favourite Kyūshi Face Oil

Mix together

Add to face & leave for 15 minutes

Rinse off with a warm cloth

This mask is amazing to help your skin and also exfoliates really well too.
