Create a Skin Loving Social Life.
Welcome to the Kyushi pillars, each week I discuss the areas of holistic wellness I believe to be crucial in getting glowing healthy skin from the inside out. (Alongside some great products of course) Lets begin…
How We Exist in the World
As we work our way around the circle of Life (Link below to download and join in) this week we land on our social life. As we emerge from another lockdown and start to reconnect with loved ones it seems very fitting. Be gentle with yourself, and soak up the beautiful moments.

The Products We Use
My top 3 products for your re emergence into society.
A silk face mask - hands down my favourite mask for the feeling against my skin. However I wouldn’t want to wear it if I needed to increase my breath as it can restrict breathing and get a little warm in there, but for sitting indoors working its great.
Cowshed hand sanitiser
A firm favourite from the beginning, infused with calming essential oils it doesn’t seem to dry the skin on the hands as some do.
Keeping your skin healthy and balanced with the mask wearing is so important, as it creates a warm environment in which bacteria can thrive. I would recommend washing your face when you return home and popping on some Chamomile & Helichrysum face oil, to calm inflammation, balance sebum production and get to work on getting your skin back to tip top condition.
Movement & Energy Flow
My incredible Reiki Teacher Brighitta has written a book. I don’t know about you but I cannot wait to get back to hands on treatment, my top ones are a beautiful long holistic facial, a massage from Jess the Norfolk massage specialist and a balancing reiki treatment.
The Reiki Way is an attunement to the frequency of your soul.
These pages offer an immersion into the heart of the Universe. Through meditative poetry, soul seducing prose, and carefully crafted prompts to guide you inward, the words will beckon your True Self - the deepest dimension of who you are - to effortlessly rise into your awareness as you experience the soothing frequency of Reiki. You'll discover that Reiki isn't something that you do, but rather something that you intrinsically are.
Brighitta Moser-Clark, a celebrated Reiki Teacher with a wealth of experience, provides a much-welcomed sense of homecoming along with potent medicine for this pivotal time on Earth. Written for both the spiritually curious who are new to Reiki as well as seasoned Reiki practitioners, this beautiful book will meet you exactly where you are, inspiring new levels of understanding to open within you. You'll feel connected, clear, and empowered as the journey unfolds.
Rooted in eastern philosophy with a mystical influence, Brighitta shares accessible teachings and transmissions that will unlock your innate healing magic and amplify your inner light.

Something I help my health coaching clients with is how to eat well in a social setting, whilst still having a great time. If you are on a wellness journey and you’re worried about coming out of lockdown and undoing your hard work or perhaps you’re worried about losing control. Theres a few things I learnt along the way when I was rebalancing my own health. How to go out have fun, have a delicious meal without worrying if its going to make your skin break out or derail your candida healing for example.
Choose the restaurant, if your friends are ok with it suggest a lovely restaurant that has some options you know you can eat and enjoy.
Browse the menu ahead of time, there’s nothing worse than missing out on fun conversation while you sit at the table trying to dissect what’s going to nourish you the best right now. If you turn up prepared, it completely removes the worry.
Take a leaf out of restaurant culture in L.A don’t be afraid to politely ask if the chef could prepare any sauces on the side, switch chips for a bowl of veggies or a salad. Or just add some greens in addition.
Don’t strive for perfection, chances are there won’t be the perfect meal, choose the best possible option and enjoy it.
All that being said I also advocate for the 80:20 lifestyle and after a year of lockdown, something that is really great for the soul to go out and have a great meal without worrying, its all about balance.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I love a bit of goop - the company created by Gweneth Paltrow in the hope of creating an empowering space for women to be able to ask and learn about all the uncomfortable topics, push health and wellness forwards and push the boundaries of social norms. If you haven’t seen the documentaries on Netflix check them out, The Wim Hof Breathwork Method one was great. This week I have been decorating my treatment room in Norfolk (which opens in May 2021 - Click here to learn more and book in.) Ive been listening to a lot of the Goop podcast this week. I don’t have one specific favourite that i’ve listened to, the Will Cole one is great if you’re interested in learning more about functional medicine and what Pete offers here in Kyushi Wellness.
